TandemNest Privacy Policy
Manual money tracker | On-device records | No account or bank link
1. Who We Are
Myworkingmemory LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates TandemNest (the "App") and related support materials (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Services process, how it is handled, and what choices you have.
2. Short Version
TandemNest is a one-device manual savings-goal tracker for two people working toward one shared target. The current App stores the values and history you enter inside the App's local storage container on your device.
The current App does not require a Company account, connect to a bank or card, observe transactions automatically, hold or move money, send your financial-tracking records to Company or a Company server, include advertising or analytics SDKs, sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or track you across apps or websites.
Company may receive information only when you choose to contact Company, visit a Company website, or interact with the App Store. Apple, website providers, your email provider, and other destinations you choose process information under their own terms and policies.
3. Product and Privacy Posture
The Services are designed as follows:
- Apple App Store distribution for iPhone and iPad;
- access may be offered free or for a one-time App Store purchase, as displayed by Apple;
- set one shared goal with two local participant profiles; choose no split, equal, or custom fair-share displays; record manual contributions and withdrawals with a contributor label; view combined progress, participant totals, fair-share displays, remaining amount, and local history; review and delete local history entries; erase the shared goal, participant profiles, and history from within the App;
- the values and history you enter are stored locally inside the App's container;
- no Company account, public profile, social feed, or public gallery;
- no Company-operated cloud sync, financial-data server, collaborative account, or account-based backup;
- no bank or card connection, transaction import, payment initiation, money custody, money transfer, automated deposit, bill payment, or investment execution;
- no third-party advertising SDK, behavioral advertising, cross-app tracking, or in-App analytics SDK;
- the App does not make automatic or background network requests and does not transmit local records or App-use telemetry to Company;
- if you choose Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, or Support, iOS opens a Company webpage outside the App and that web visit creates a network request;
- no camera, microphone, contacts, precise-location, health, or biometric permission is requested by the current App; and
- TandemNest does not create joint ownership, invite or authenticate another person, send messages, synchronize between devices, connect to a bank, verify contributions, hold or transfer money, resolve disputes, guarantee results, or provide relationship, financial, tax, legal, accounting, or investment advice.
Different App features or data practices may require different disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules. This policy will be updated before a materially different practice is introduced.
4. Information You Create and Store
When you use the App, it may process on your device:
- a shared goal name, target amount, starting balance, target date, currency choice, two participant names, fair-share display mode and percentages, manual contribution or withdrawal amounts, dates, contributor assignments, optional notes, plans, personal ideas, and other text you choose to enter;
- App setup choices and display preferences;
- creation dates, update dates, and history labels; and
- calculated displays used to present and organize your records.
The App writes these records to a local file in its application container. The App may also use ordinary Apple-framework preferences needed for local operation. This processing occurs on your device. Company does not receive, host, scan, analyze, index, sell, or use these records through ordinary App use.
For TandemNest, local records include participant names, goal names, contribution entries, notes, plans, personal ideas, and other text you choose to enter. During ordinary App use, Company does not receive, review, monitor, moderate, profile, sell, share, or use that content for advertising, analytics, product research, or AI or machine-learning training.
Participant profiles are labels inside one local record, not separate accounts or private spaces. The App does not authenticate the second participant or prevent a person who can access the device from viewing or changing the records. You are responsible for device access controls and for any consent needed before entering another person's information.
If you deliberately include local content in a support email, attachment, or screenshot, Company receives only the content you choose to send and handles it as described in Section 9.
You are responsible for the accuracy of values you enter and for having any rights, permissions, or consents needed to enter another person's information.
5. Local Storage, Backups, and Deletion
The App writes your setup and history records to its local application container on your device. Other apps ordinarily cannot access that container, subject to iOS, device security, backups, device compromise, and actions you take.
Depending on your Apple and device settings, an iPhone or iPad backup may include App data. Company does not operate, inspect, control, or guarantee Apple backups, device backups, migrations, or restores.
You can delete individual history entries and can erase the shared goal, participant profiles, and history using controls inside the App; the selected display currency may remain as a local preference after reset. Deleting the App ordinarily removes its active local container from that device, but copies may remain in device backups, screenshots, support emails, or other copies you created.
Company cannot recover, restore, export, correct, or delete local App records for you because Company does not possess them.
6. No Bank Connection, Custody, or Transfer
The current App does not connect to bank, brokerage, card, payroll, payment, lending, or credit accounts. It does not retrieve or verify balances or transactions, initiate payments, hold funds, transfer funds, automate deposits, invest money, or act as a financial institution, money transmitter, broker, adviser, fiduciary, escrow agent, or custodian.
Any deposit, withdrawal, purchase, transfer, or balance represented in the App is a manual record based on information you enter. You remain responsible for taking and verifying any real-world action through your own financial institution or service provider.
7. Financial Records and Calculated Displays
TandemNest records may reveal the names, financial goals, contributions, notes, plans, personal ideas, or circumstances of two people. Both profiles and their history stay on the single device during ordinary use, and Company does not collect them through the App.
The following App Output is calculated on your device from local values you enter: combined progress, participant contribution totals, fair-share displays, remaining amount, target-date displays, and local history.
Participant and fair-share displays are planning estimates based only on values entered on one device. They do not establish ownership, debt, entitlement, reimbursement rights, or a legally binding contribution obligation.
The current App does not use generative AI, remote financial-data aggregation, remote content analysis, or a third-party financial-data processor.
8. Website, App Store, and Technical Data
The current App does not transmit financial-tracking records, App-use events, device identifiers, or telemetry to Company. When you visit a Company website or support page, Company and its hosting, security, and infrastructure providers may process routine web information, such as:
- IP address;
- request date and time;
- page or resource requested;
- browser, device, or operating-system technical data;
- country or general region inferred by hosting infrastructure;
- referrer and user agent where applicable;
- basic server logs;
- security and abuse-prevention signals; and
- error or performance information.
Company may also receive aggregated App Store sales, download, performance, crash, or diagnostic information that Apple makes available to developers.
Website and aggregate App Store information may be used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve Company services; comply with law and platform rules; and make product, pricing, marketing, reliability, and App Store decisions.
Company does not receive your local App records through website analytics or App Store analytics.
9. Support Communications
If you contact Company for support, Company may receive:
- your email address;
- your name if you provide it;
- the contents of your message;
- screenshots or local App-record excerpts you choose to send;
- attachments you choose to send;
- device, App version, or App Store purchase details you choose to provide; and
- other information reasonably needed to respond.
Do not send account numbers, transaction records, financial records, confidential information, personal information, or third-party private information unless you want Company to review it for support purposes. Company does not need bank credentials, full payment-card numbers, or government identifiers to support the App.
Company uses support communications to respond to you, troubleshoot, maintain business records, enforce Terms, protect Company Parties, and comply with law.
10. Apple and App Store Data
Apple processes App Store downloads, purchases, refunds, taxes, chargebacks, Family Sharing, ratings, reviews, crash information, diagnostics, and App Store analytics under Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
Company may receive aggregated sales, performance, crash, refund, or analytics information from Apple. Company does not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.
The current App does not include subscriptions or in-app purchases, does not validate App Store receipts with a Company server, and does not send transaction identifiers to Company.
11. Information We Do Not Collect Through Ordinary App Use
Unless the App is changed and this policy is updated, Company does not collect through ordinary App use:
- your savings goals, spending records, purchase amounts, contribution or withdrawal records, target dates, participant names, notes, no-buy rules, or other local App records;
- your bank, card, brokerage, payroll, payment, lending, or credit credentials, balances, account numbers, or transaction feeds;
- Company account usernames or passwords;
- full payment-card numbers;
- contacts or address-book data;
- precise location;
- camera or photo-library data;
- microphone or audio data;
- biometric identifiers or biometric information;
- health or medical data;
- government identifiers or financial account numbers;
- advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking;
- SMS or phone-call data;
- a public social profile or public gallery; or
- data for sale to data brokers.
Your local records can leave your device only through device backups, migration, compromise, support information or screenshots you choose to send, or other actions you take outside the App.
12. How We Use Information
Company uses information it actually receives to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve Company websites and support channels;
- respond to support, legal, safety, and privacy requests;
- troubleshoot bugs, crashes, device issues, or compatibility issues you report;
- maintain legal, tax, accounting, support, and business records;
- enforce Terms and protect Company Parties, users, and platforms;
- prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or security incidents affecting Company systems;
- comply with law, App Store rules, and legal process; and
- make product, pricing, marketing, reliability, and App Store decisions using aggregate or non-content information.
Company does not use your local App records for advertising, analytics, AI training, personalization, profiling, credit decisions, or product research because Company does not receive them through ordinary App use.
13. How We Share Information
Company may disclose information it actually receives to:
- website hosting, email, support, security, and infrastructure providers;
- Apple and platform providers for App Store distribution, purchases, refunds, app review, crash reporting, analytics, fraud prevention, and account administration;
- professional advisors, insurers, auditors, and business operations providers;
- authorities, courts, regulators, or litigants where legally required or reasonably necessary;
- acquirers, successors, financing parties, or transaction parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or asset sale; and
- other parties with your direction or consent.
Company does not disclose your local App records because Company does not receive them. Company does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
14. Advertising and Tracking
The current App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising.
The current App does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission because it is not designed to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
Different advertising, tracking, sale, share, or behavioral-advertising practices would require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.
15. Retention
Local App records remain on your device until you delete individual history, erase the shared goal, participant profiles, and history, delete the App, erase or replace the device, or another device or backup event changes that data. Company does not set a retention period for local App records because Company does not possess them.
Support messages, website logs, App Store reports, legal records, and business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, tax, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, App Store compliance, and business operations. Company may retain deidentified, aggregated, or non-personal information.
16. Security
The App relies on the iOS application sandbox and your device's operating-system protections. Company uses reasonable measures for information Company actually receives. No device, backup, email, website, or storage system is perfectly secure.
You are responsible for your device, passcode, Apple account, backups, cloud settings, screenshots, support messages, and any copies of local App information you create.
17. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13. Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the App.
If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to Company through support or a Company website, contact Company at dean@myworkingmemory.ai so the request can be reviewed under applicable law.
18. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, appeal, or opt out of certain processing.
Some U.S. state privacy laws apply only above certain revenue, volume, or data-sale thresholds. Company may not be covered by every state privacy law at all times. Company handles privacy requests as required by applicable law.
Send privacy requests to dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Company may need to verify your identity before responding. Company handles non-discrimination obligations as required by applicable law.
Because your App records are stored locally, Company cannot access, correct, export, port, or delete them for you. Use the App and your device controls to manage local records.
19. California Privacy Notes
The current App does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use third-party ad tracking.
Because the App is not a browser-based service, browser Do Not Track signals do not change App behavior. Different web tracking, advertising, sale, or share practices would require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.
20. Financial, Consumer Health, Biometric, and Other Sensitive Data
TandemNest records may reveal the names, financial goals, contributions, notes, plans, personal ideas, or circumstances of two people. Both profiles and their history stay on the single device during ordinary use, and Company does not collect them through the App.
Local goal amounts, expense estimates, purchase amounts, contribution records, and related notes may be considered financial information or sensitive personal information depending on context and applicable law. They are processed locally and are not collected by Company through ordinary App use.
The App does not request bank credentials, financial-account numbers, government identifiers, health data, precise location, biometric information, or other sensitive data through a device permission. Do not enter account credentials, full card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other authentication secrets in optional note fields.
Do not use the Services as a banking, payment, lending, brokerage, investment, fiduciary, accounting, tax, legal, medical, mental-health, therapeutic, biometric, emergency, employment, housing, education, insurance, criminal-justice, or safety-critical tool.
If a future version adds bank connectivity, transactions, cloud accounts, collaboration, health, biometric, precise-location, AI, SMS, advertising, or other regulated features, Company will provide updated notices, consents, retention schedules, or deletion rights as required by applicable law or platform rules.
21. International Use
The App processes local records on your device. Company is operated from the United States, and Company websites, support communications, Apple information, or service-provider records may be processed in the United States or other locations where providers operate.
If you use the Services from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws and for understanding the data practices of Apple and any website, email, or support destination you select.
22. Changes
Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version is identified by an updated effective date.
Material data-practice changes are handled as required by applicable law and platform rules.
